there is another thread that notes a claim on wiki that said that ray has died.. he had a stroke yesterday, and is in the hospital.
he is still alive.

was planning on attending his funeral.. to me this deserves its own thread.. .

It seems that we are getting reports from very reliable sources that Ray is brain dead and if Cynthia decides to remove Ray from the mechanical ventilator he will die immediately. I do not think it is premature to talk about a funeral at all.
I live about an hour from where Ray does. I would love to attend the funeral if it is at a time that I can. I would love to meet any of you that will be there.

I worked as a nurse for years. It is a heart-breaking and devastating position to be in to have to make the decision to remove a loved one from a ventilator. It is Cynthia's decision. My thoughts and prayers are with her for peace in her heart and mind.

Girls - what subject got you thinking?
by wannabefree inreading the post "how long did it take you to leave", i can't help but be envious of those of you who refer to leaving as a "we" event.. i know it has been said that women tend to react to feelings/emotions along with logic, can you help me with ideas that got you to feel something was wrong?
what should i work on planting with my wife?.

Anything you can say or do to help her get in touch with her feelings would be a great start. We are trained to disconnect from our feelings so that we no longer recognize when we are not happy.
I 100% agree with this. This is the most important thing in my experience and what I have seen in my extended family.

We need a national story about Ray Franz's life
by moshe inlike everyone else here, i am praying for ray to pull through this medical crisis, but i realize the odds are not good.
i know it's not something people want to think about, their obituary, but i contacted a religion journalist and told her about ray franz, his life at bethel and his books.
i hope she passes the information on to the rest of the writers on their religion blog.

I think there should be an article in People Magazine, Time, Newsweek, The New York Times, USA Today. Also CNN, MSNBC, BBC. He deserves a LOT of recognition. But it would take the right person to spearhead that and be able to communicate superbly to get the message out.

I think the WTBTS revenues and donations are WAY down over the last 3 years. Their lack of money will bring their demise maybe sooner than we think.

Yes, what Ray started must be continued. He took the pain that he had suffered as a JW and used it as a force for good. We must all continue in that path.
